Share Your Expertise . . . In Print
Posted by LAC Publicity Subcommittee under Annual Meeting
The MLA Publishing Program is always looking for new authors, and their next author could be you . . . Have you taught a successful CE course? Do your colleagues come to you for help/advice on particular topics? You have expertise to share! And the annual meeting is a great place to learn more about the publication process.

If you think you might be interested in becoming an author, stop by and visit with a Neal-Schuman (publisher) representative at Booth 716. You can also visit the MLA Connections booth from 3:30-5:00pm on Tuesday, May 20, to talk with the MLA headquarters publications staff.
Follow-up after MLA
If you already have an idea for a book proposal (or are inspired during MLA!), contact Gail Hendler, MLA Books Panel chair, at gail.hendler@tufts.edu or Elizabeth Lund, MLA director of publications, at lund@mlahq.org for more information.
You can also visit MLAnet to view current titles and read about the publication process in “Proposals Demystified.”
About the MLA Publishing Program
MLA publishes books about the best practices of health sciences librarianship and about consumer health for public librarianship. The MLA Books Panel can help you shape your idea into a proposal that can be successfully published. MLA titles are published in cooperation with Neal-Schuman Publishers, a leading library science publisher since 1976.
