Many of us provide anatomy resources to our users, and another one has just entered the field – anatomyEXPERT.
The resource features 3D web-based images with extreme detail – I remarked to a colleague that I felt like I could almost understand what the displayed muscle would feel like from the images. It included rotate and zoom functions, cross sections, and other images. Although their website is not yet very detailed, the product actually doesn’t launch until July 1, so I expect more details will be available soon.
I asked the reps about whether they plan to incorporate self-assessment tools for students, a feature the product does not currently contain. They said that they already have plans to add that feature, and that many people had been asking for it. They also said that the images come with a blanket license for use in classrooms and presentations for educational purposes.
