If you’ve perused the MLA 2014 Section Program Themes, you may have noticed a new format this year – the flipped meeting.
This year, the Educational Medial and Technologies Section (EMTS) will flip their contributed paper session, “Structural Adjustments: Changes in Education.” The session will explore changes in education as reflected in the practice of librarianship, and in hindsight, it was aptly named, because we plan to flip the entire model of contributed papers on its head.
Basically, the contributed papers will be pre-recorded and available to view in advance of the meeting. The session itself will be dedicated to breakout discussions of paper topics among attendees & paper authors. We are very excited to bring the flipped meeting to MLA, and know it will be a lively session.
If you’d like to submit a paper to the flipped meeting session, please read the description of Section Program 10: Structural Adjustments: Changes in Education. The deadline to submit contributed paper proposals is Friday, November 1, 2013.
